Jake S.

When I rescued Jake at eight weeks old, we instantly created a connection. He was such a good puppy and loved to learn. At the time I brought him home, and for the next three years, I was a full-time student. Outside of school, I spent every minute with Jake and grew to love him more each and every day. I'm the dog-dad that throws a birthday party for their pup.

During the COVID-19 pandemic lock-down, I got to spend so much time with Jake and our bond grew even stronger. Right when I was finally able to return to work after the lock-down, I caught COVID and four days later, Jake was diagnosed with lymphoma - just two months shy of his fifth birthday.

I always knew I would have to face losing him one day, but I never imagined it would be so soon. Jake's vet and oncologist both suggested that I reach out to Dogslife and apply for assistance for Jake's treatment. What a blessing that was. Words cannot even describe how thankful I am to Jake's vet, his oncologist and especially to Dogslife for helping with Jake's treatment without even knowing him...or me.

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for helping me get the treatment Jake needs, and for helping all of the other dog parents and pups out there struggling with such a terrible situation.
