To many, a dog is not simply a pet; they are part of the family. Unfortunately, many families must forego critical cancer treatment for their beloved companions simply due to financial constraints. Dogslife gives families in this situation somewhere to turn.
Our mission is to remove the burden of having to make the impossible determination of the value of a dog's life who has been diagnosed with cancer by providing grants to dogs and their families for necessary cancer-specific treatment when it could not otherwise be afforded.
Dogslife uses donations to pay for life-saving cancer treatment of selected beneficiaries. These beneficiaries are selected through an application and interview process, which involves the applicant, the dog’s primary veterinarian, and the treating board-certified veterinary oncologist. Dogslife gathers information about the applicant, such as his or her financial situation, as well as about the dog, such as information regarding the cancer diagnosis, treatment recommendation, and quoted cost. All applications received are reviewed and a determination of funding is made.
As a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) charity supported almost entirely by donations, all donations are tax-deductible as permissible by law. Your generous support and contribution will go directly to providing treatment to these deserving pups and will enable their human parents to have a loyal and healthy companion for years to come.
