I brought Butters home when he was just a puppy, and he's been by my side ever since. He earned his name almost immediately after sneaking a whole package of butter off the kitchen table—a memory that still makes me smile all these years later. My wife and I chose him together, and after she passed away, Butters became more than just my dog.
