Cubby

One thing I want to tell you is that Cubby is a survivor. When we first met, I was 28 years old, and he was 8 weeks old. He was given to me because he was abandoned by his owner and was left with a family with two big dogs and when I got him, he was bitten up on his head and they had to give him away.  They gave him to me, and I nursed him back to health. I dressed and cleaned all his scars and about 2 weeks he was back to normal. Me and Cubby been homeless, stayed on peoples couches and we even had to sleep in my car at times. Cubby means the world to me and my family. He was there with my nephews before they passed and helped me grieve after they went to heaven. He is a protector, Lover and defiantly an alpha dog. He thinks he runs me and my house, which now that I think about it, he does. Cubby already battled and defeated cancer, snapped back like nothing happened. Even now you can't even tell he even has cancer until you feel the lump on his arm. He jumps plays and still does everything he did even after he was diagnosed with cancer.

When I was told he had cancer I broke down in tears and the fact that he has to get his whole arm removed is still not hitting me yet. I just stare and look at him and just don't want him to be in pain, I had Cubby 10 years and that is the longest relationship I ever had in my whole life. He is my everything. After the vet told me he had cancer I broke down and she gave me Dogslife flyer and told me that you guys would help if they could. I prayed and then filled out the application and now we are here one week before surgery. God is real and He does answer prayers. I just put my trust in Him and He directed my path, Cubby's path and you guys' hearts.

I will never forget how you guys helped me and my son. This grant means everything to me. Just to know I have more time with Cubby is the best feeling in the world. When I look at Cubby, I now see hope and it's because of Dogslife foundation. It's because of the hearts of you guys that I still believe in humanity and love, motivates me to still be that loving God fearing woman that is a dog parent to an amazing dog whose name is Cubby. We appreciate and we love you guys from my family to yours, God Bless.
