Miles for Mutts - Dogslife's BIGGEST Event Yet!

Dogslife's 3rd Annual Miles for Mutts took place on June 25th, 2022. Thanks to all of our sponsors and participants, we raised approximately $35,000 for families who cannot afford life-saving cancer treatment for their beloved dogs! This is no small feat, as we raised over $10,000 more than last year's event.

On behalf of the Dogslife board, staff, and grant recipients, THANK YOU! We cannot express our gratitude - we truly appreciate your support. Without you, we would not be able to execute our mission.

This year's Miles for Mutts 10k, 5k, and 1 mile fun run set all kinds of records, including roughly 300 in-person participants, 100 virtual participants, and very hot temperatures! The Miles for Mutts race course crossed over the Ronald Kirk Bridge, showcasing beautiful views of downtown Dallas, and looped around the Trinity Skyline Trail alongside Trinity River. Despite the heat, we had a great event! We appreciate everyone coming out to support Dogslife, as well as the chance to meet so many of your sweet fur-babies!

Faces of some of our favorite pups!

A BIG thanks to our emcee, Kelsey Charles!

Kelsey hosts The Star at Night for the Cowboys and Girls Talkin’ Boys for Vox Media's SB Nation. She is mom to five fur children, one dog, Murphy, and four cats, Bella, Tucker, Gypsy and Joey. Kelsey kept the race day energy and spirits high!

Throughout the day, participants and volunteers heard testimonials from previous grant recipient families!

Jake and his dad, Tyler

Jake recently came out of remission and received a 2nd Dogslife grant to help with his current treatment. "From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me get the treatment Jake needs, and for helping all of the other dog parents and pups out there struggling with such a terrible situation."

-Tyler Stephens

Kelvin and his mom, Constance

"When Dogslife called to give us the grant, it was like a huge weight had been lifted off my chest. The peace of mind this foundation and their generous donors have given our family is indescribable. Thank you for seeing the worthiness in Kelvin and our family."

- Constance Bond

Below are a few of our wonderful sponsors and vendors that came out to support Dogslife and the Miles for Mutts race participants!

So, once again, THANK YOU to all those who came out to support Dogslife! We cannot wait to continue the tradition next year!
